Far too often I have met with clients who did not call the police after an accident only to have the at fault driver lie to their insurance company and say it wasn’t their fault. If you are in an accident please protect yourself by calling the police, don’t be tricked into not calling the police. If you don’t call the police then I urge you to take videos and photos of the accident. If the at fault driver doesn’t want you to call the police and you aren’t going to, then get that driver’s permission to video them saying it is their fault in exchange for you not calling the police. However, the best policy is to call the police.
