When you are in an automobile accident and go to the hospital, make sure to give the hospital your auto insurance. If you give the hospital your health insurance information, call your health insurance provider and let them know you were in an automobile accident. That way they know that the bill should be paid in part or in full by your auto and they shouldn’t double pay the hospital.
